Do I need Wi-Fi / internet access to use myprogress on the mobile device?

No, you do not need to be connected to the internet or Wi-Fi to complete the assessment whilst the student is in placement. The assessment is saved on the mobile device; when the student is in a Wi-Fi accessible area e.g. at home or university he /she will 'sync' the device and upload the completed assessment.
